Getting Started for SKCC

If you are a member of the Straight Key Century Club (SKCC), QSOMate includes integrations that make it easier to log information exchanged with SKCC members.

SKCC integration adds:

• An SKCC activity for logging contacts with other SKCC members
• SKCC lookup and easy copying of exchange information during other activities such as Parks on the Air or Summits on the Air activations

Enabling SKCC integration

1. Tap the settings button at the top right of the screen .
2. Make sure Enable SKCC Integration is turned on.
3. Tap Done at the top right to dismiss the Settings screen.

Logging SKCC contacts

1. Choose a logging activity. If you are specifically making contacts with other SKCC members, choose the SKCC activity. It copies SKCC information into the log after you enter the call sign. For POTA or SOTA activations, create an activity for the activation; the contacted station’s SKCC information will be available to paste into the log.
2. Enter the required information (frequency and call sign) and any additional information. To count toward SKCC awards, a QSO should include the SKCC number and name.
3. Tap Save to save the contact.

Copying SKCC information during other activities

If SKCC is secondary to an activity such as a POTA or SOTA activation, the SKCC information required for awards must be pasted into the log. You will see a paste button next to the SKCC number:

If SKCC information is available, the paste button will be dark blue. Tap it to copy the information into the log.

Exporting SKCC contacts

To apply for awards, export your contacts to an ADIF file and import it into SKCCLogger:

1. Tap the Activities tab at the bottom of the screen.
2. Long press the SKCC activity (right click on QSOMate Desktop).
3. Tap Export.
4. Tap for SKCC. This selects all QSOs with an associated SKCC number, regardless of which activity created them.
5. Choose the export location. The options depend on how your device is set up.
6. Open SKCCLogger.
7. Select File → Merge ADIF File into Current Log.
8. Navigate to the exported file and select it.
